Soooo... 93 Race Tune with Hot Rods and I finally beat my stocker time.. by almost a whole 0.03 seconds... WTF?
Haven't got the whole launch thing figured out... best 60' time was when I bogged the engine (2.05).. but, if you look at the 1000 foot times, it's NO better than stock with a 2.2 at the 60' line.. WTF?
Limited it to 3 runs... on the third run something "slapped" the body hard on the 2nd gear shift.. I'm assuming I lost a bushing in a LCA... :eyeroll:
All I can say is WTF?
Haven't seen anything about long tubes being added. With the mods in my sig I run an 8.7 on the 1/8th mile. I was running an 8.9 completely stock. I think you may just need more training on how to run your car down the track. You do lose low end power but you gain in the top end. The cams mainly just give you a nice sound and really only gain maybe 10-15 rwhp with a tune. My car before anything and bone stock made 276rwhp and my buddy with just Cai, axlebacks, and a bama 93 tune made 290rwhp. My car after the hot rod cams installed made 301rwhp. I make more now since the headers were installed but I don't have an exact number yet. Just a few facts for you. Also you may need to go with drag
adials to help with launch.
