Default Update on my car

I dropped my car at a mustang dyno, the guy is a top mustang guru, my car was running pretty bad. 315 rwhp on the first pull, horrible. It had a ****ty tune, h is now at 400 rwhp with 390 torque, he said he is not done with the tune but he wont be getting much more crazy number cause of the roushblower, seem to the weakest hp gainer. Now the tricky part, he STRONGLY suggest me to put back my stock cams, he guarantee better result on the tune with the stock
Cams, he pretty sure i got hot rod cams and they dont benefit the blower capacity, my uncle can ship him stocks cams thursday he would install them for 200$ and make a final great tune. Id lose the beautiful idle roaring ..but better response. What do you guys
Think?

I would say lose it. Making the car go fast is the most important part at the end of the day right? And having it running properly. Either that or sell the blower and get a better one. My guess by looking at your sig is that you have the m90. Go for the TVS2300 if you are trying to stay Roush.

How much of a performance gain will the stock cams net you?
The question is, will the performance gain be enough to make it worthwhile.

Glad you got everything sorted out. As for your problem with the cams. Get a set of Comp stage two blower cams...problem solved.

Although, hotrods shouldn't have a negative effect on your power because the profiles are so similar to stock. And plenty of guys on here are running hotrod cams with the m90 (I assume that's what you have).

I dont really know the game with modded car, if i had the money i would DEF sell the roush and get a pro charger or kenne bell, all i want is to get the car to work and give best rwhp number, this guy certify that ALOT of his customer had those kind of
Cam that didnt did any good on the 4,6l engine mixed with blower, and had better result with stock cams, i dont know what to do erghh.

Depending on condition and mileage you are probably looking in the neighborhood of 400-600 for them. A lot of people on here like to get those cams because of the sound, and I have heard that they can be much trickier cams to tune when it comes to FI as well.

i think ill have to listen to my tuner and remove theses cams and try the stock on, im a bit sad on the fact that i though the car was putting 540 crank hp, and now at the best i will be getting is 400 rwhp..i had so many probleme with it lately that ill put everything on my side to have the car run well... hopefully my orange wrench popping 3-4 times every times i ride with the car was due to a bad tune.. my tuner told me it a total different car with his new tune, he say the first gear pull with moderate acceleration made the back get loose easily, which barely never happened when i had it, i did a weak 13.40 105 mph on the 1/4, i also had another probleme with my fuel system, the passenger side tank keep transfering the gas to the main tank side for no reason while my gas gauge alway flip from full to empty, I have the shelby dual pump system, we changed everything on it, the whole systems both tanks and pumps and the gauge taken from another shelby, and we get the same probleme except now the needle dont go to empty, it go full on accesory, and settle down a bit down half way when car is on, once my tank go to half way, the gauge read correctly until im empty, the tuner told me he brang a ford guy in, they checked everything and really have no idea what wrong, the thrown code is like unique, and never really happened to anyone...but it not suppose to affect the tune. all this crap gave me such a headache, i just want it to work properly so i can enjoy it a bit and sell it next summer, next car: 2011 5.0 bone stock with exaust and cai, that it, cant afford this kind of stress when i have zero knowledge in tuned car.... big story eh! i just hope all can be fix so im not losing all my money on this car.

I paid 575 for a set of used hot rod cams.

Also, 400 rwhp isn't bad at all. if you take into account the drivetrain loss, you are somewhere around 470 crank at 400 rwhp.
