Default 2008 GT stereo wiring diagram

So i attempted replacing my head unit today, everything was fine until i unplugged the harnesses for the stereo, i panicked, so many wires and the orange cable didnt fit the slot in my aftermarket head unit so i reinstalled everything and closed it up. I have this aftermarket unit http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?mo...hId=148&page=1 and came with its own harness, but i dont remember if the colors matched to the ones in the mustang, and if i recall correctly, the mustang has way mor wires than the harness it came with, i really dont want to take it to a shop because i want to do it myself, as far as i can tell from youtube i only need to color match the wires and be done with it.

so can anyone help me find a understandable wiring diagram for both units? i did search the forums

Here ya go man!

For your car-http://crutchfield.custhelp.com/app/...2008%20mustang

For the head unit- (scroll down until you get to the wiring diagram)- http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/0...T0722-002A.pdf

You need to just get a wiring harness at your local best Buy or car audio shop. Then you can just plug and play.

5th article down in the stickied threads for the audio/visual section

https://mustangforums.com/forum/audi...w-avic-d3.html

It's like it was made to be there or something...with walkthru, part #'s (including wiring harness).

im checking wiring diagrams for my head unit and my oem harness, they dont have any sort of adapting harnes available in mexico atm, and roads are dangerous again so there is no possibility of going to the us for one, my butler suggested wiring my head unit to the wires behind the harness, elmininating the need to cut the harness, im noticing that my head unit has rca slots for left and right speakers, as well as cables for them, and my harness has cables for + and - negative speakers, what would i do in both scenerios?

ok i figured out th ehwole + and -, but what do i do about the rcas, i have a convertible with NO subwoofer, i guess there is no amp, however i do have the shaker 500. Behind the oem radio i noticed 3 harnesses, and the wiring diagram from crutchfield only has info for the big one, what about the small ones?

How difficult is it to order from a source that delivers? For that matter, to search in the audio/visual section?

24pin is the main harness, 16pin is the aux harness, the 8pin is for the "shaker 500" door subs/amps and the "shaker 1000" trunk subs/amps when applicable.

Ignore the above shown pin outs, they are likely incorrect, THIS however, I believe is correct:

Above "mute" lines (2 of them, pins 4 and 8) on the 8pin connector are the 5v turn on lines.

You probably should order this adapter, I just installed my JVC last week and it work great!

All you have to do is solder the wires from the JVC unit to the adapter, then the adapter plugs into the vehicle's radio harness.
