I believe the dealer has to make sure everything is fine with car. With the car being only one year old I would think the warranty would still be in effect. I've also heard that a tune would only void the warranty if it caused the problem. I don't think this kid did anything that most of us wouldn't do in same situation. I just don't know how mustangs are selling for so low in Texas. I have a 2010 mustang and if I could trade in in for a 13 and still keep my payment the same I would do it in a heartbeat. Here in NJ I would probably get around 19-20 on a trade then pay about 33 for one with the same options.

Only gave 28,600 for the 13 GT w/ 3.73s ( LOVE THEM)

I owed 23k on the 12... now I owe 25k so a little more debt but not too bad...

Now the reasoning. I committed the "money shift" at the track about 2 months ago. Was datalogging and mechanically redlined the car to 78xx.. from that point on it felt hard to get in to first gear, and I was paranoid so I demodded... kept driving it but I wasn't comfortable. I knew fords warranty wouldnt back me if I need repairs... at the age of 21 working full time, and full time student. At this time I can not afford to play, so I made a move to reinstate my warranty... A 2013... I learned a lot about what to do and what not to do, and I never truly wanted red.... I wanted white. So this time I got what I wanted, and will not mod until my wallet is fat enough.

There is a lot more that could be said about that whole situation, but I am now comfortable in what I have and will grin everytime I pay my payment.

So you beat your car.... cheat Ford out of a warranty claim.... turn the car in for another? "I can't afford to pay for damage, so I screw Ford"

Jazzer says you are a *****!

Well thought out move...? You make me sick!

Sounds like the other moron that complained to Ford about his tranny blowing up due to his un-stock motor, lol.

You mod your car while not knowing what you're doing and you want someone else to take responsibility for it??

Well, that's F'd up!

......Siggy, how's that for a Conservative statement?

Let me change the direction of the thread.

So what are your driving impressions between the two cars. What do you like about the '13 and dislike? Same for the '12.

Why are knocking what the kid did, I said it before and I'll say it again most people would have done the same the he did. If the dealer doesn't fully inspect the car car for any problems it's their fault not the kid's fault. If you buy a used car from a dealer are you going to look to the previous owner to make it right?
