Default URGENT please help - HARD TO SHIFT MANUAL W/Hurst, 2005

i have a 2005 mustang gt with the Hurst installed recently its been really hard to change gears for example when i am trying to put it in first it doesn't go smoothly and i have to muscle it in. Also second and 3 are a bit rough after 3rd its pretty smooth. It is getting worse by the day harder and harder to push in.

Do you have enough fluid in your trans? Put your stocker back in and see how it feels.

A little more descriptive title may help you get responses. A lot of people will look at a title and decide to check, they may just skip over the "please help" title.

I changed it for you - let me know if you need it worded differently

Check the 10mm bolt at the front of the shifter, where mounts to the tranny, sometimes it comes loose making shifts difficult.

No, not yet...put the car in second gear, start it and let go the clutch slowly, tell us what happens.

i let of VERY slow the car started shaking alot but it didn't stall and i was able to completely let of the clutch

But also ive noticed recently that my clutch feels different before i was able to bring up half way before feeling the "biting point" now if i bring it up more than 25 percent the car starts shaking and feels like it going to stall. I might take it to a different mechanic tomorrow and get a second look at it
