Gear Ratio Label on Pumpkin? LCA Install Day.
I got underneath my car for the first time in the four years I've owned it to install some control arms. I noticed a sticker on the pumpkin that says 3.55. Only one thing I can figure that means, but I could have sworn the window sticker I looked up said my car had 3.31's.
That sucks, I was planning on 3.73's, but if I have 3.55's .73's won't do much. I don't want 4.10's because I'm planning on a blower next summer.
On a good note, I survived my first ever non-spring/shock/strut suspension install, and the Steeda chromoly LCA's I put on rock. Wheel hop? What wheel hop?
On a bad note, I think I may have broke my pinky inbetween my torque wrench and the garage floor. I took my stock panhard off only to realize I didn't have an open ended wrench big enough to adjust my (used and stiff) adjustable, so I had to put my stocker back on. And, I must have effed up my parking brake, because there is NO tension on it at all now. I'm 95% sure I put the cables back on correctly, but after I got done I didn't want to pull my wheels back off to look, I should have checked it before I put the wheels back on. Guess that can wait til I get my shocks/springs/struts.

You're right. I wouldn't spend the money to go from 3.55 to 3.73. On the other hand, 3.55 is a hell of a good all around ratio.

I don't know why Ford went away from the metal tags and replaced them with stickers! Other than cost, which is probably the culprit.
If you rub your thumb across the sticker, the print will wipe off like nothing.
