Door panel leather peeling off ? best solution?

I gave up on mine last year and removed what was left of the foam padding. I have looked many places and tried just about everything in my shop to use as a solvent for the adhesive. I am afraid some of the more harsh solvents, such as MEK, etc., would damage the plastic. Any thoughts?
