Ford Confirms EcoBoost Engine, IRS For 2015 Mustang
#21
When gas prices continue to rise, you'll be appreciating the fact that you will have a motor that can squeeze out 500hp and 30mpg.
The drivers that don't notice IRS are the same ones that don't notice the live axle. To me, the IRS is an improvement.
Looks are subjective. Things change, and I like that. If these mustangs looked the same for 10 years, it would look very bland, and eventually so many would be on the road ANY uniqueness would be lost, unless heavily modified.
I'll reserve judgement until they're on the lots and I drive one.

This is a Ford Marketing Ploy ... Ford is gonna advertise big changes to the 2015 Mustang to make it sound not very appealing .. that will make everyone go out and buy 2013/2014 models like crazy. Then the 2015 will come out with 5.8 Liter Coyote, 500HP, look like a Ford GT etc, etc .. then everyone will trade in for a 2015 ...

regarding the IRS,
if you aren't autocrossing it, i dont think you will notice the IRS..
and if you are a drag racer, the SRA is what you want.
if you are like most of us and drive your Mustang on the street 99% of the time, or never track it,
the SRA is perfectly fine.
all these improvements are nice looking when you are comparing it to a BMW in a magazine, also gonna cost more too.
pretty soon the Mustang will cost just as much as a BMW 3 series.
its already starting to look like a euro car.

I love my 08GT and will not part with it. But it is a larger car than I would like for a DD.
A smaller more powerful Mustang with modern styling and options for different types of engines would appeal to me for my next Mustang.
I have my muscle car with + 400 HP, why not have a modern Mustang with 400 HP and 30+ MPG?
These forums are filled with devoted Mustang fans, what would you say, 10% of mustang buyers are on these sites?
If that many, there are many more Mustang fans who have never done one Mod to their Stang.
Ford wants to make "US" happy, but they Must make the rest of the Mustang buyers even more happy.
