Its used one. I was surfing craigslist and came across an ad from the dealer so i was like well ive been wanting to get another car and i can afford it, so i called up and asked about it. Went and filled out all the paper work (guess they were really skeptical about a 23yr old trying to get this car lol) Now I just gotta sit and wait on the bank to finance it. They got her priced at around 27,000 with only 32,000 miles on her. Im not sure what was up with her though as they did have some body work on the front drivers side fender and bumper. When i looked at the car it didnt seem like anything was wrong. We test drove it and it ran fine. ( seriously gonna have to try and not spin tires if i do get it lol. not use to that kinda acceleration.)

Its got a clean title (not salvaged)?

shes got the typical 5.4l v8 supercharged. This is gonna be my "weekend/recreational" car. That way insurance doesnt kill me lol. I still got my sixxer and shes running fine.

ya clean title. I think it may have been a repo or something. Like i said they did tell me about some minor damage to the front but when i saw the car I didnt notice anything. At first the guy was being a douche when i went out to look at it, like he thought i was joking around

^ Just what I was thinking.

I hope it all works out for the best and you drive that beauty right out of the lot. Maybe the damage was just a little fender bender. Good luck to you!

Looks nice and the price seems very reasonable too! If you have't already, request a carfax or autocheck to verify everything checks out to your satisfaction, which also adds a little peace of mind. ;-)
Good luck!

If you are going to pay that much money get a used 2012 that has lower miles, damage free and a warranty. IMHO you are tossing money out of the window, the 08 GT500 is not considered a great car. In fact that is one terrible looking stang.

You money, have at it, but if I could go back in a time machine I would have done things differently in terms of buying cars. The older you get the wiser you get in terms of cars. A 2012 GT is 1000000% better car than the one you posted yet they are similarity priced.

Congrats and welcome to the club!
Check to see if it has had the clutch/flywheel TSB done on it.

If not you need to watch the clutch behavior for symptoms and
test for the syncro problem.

If it has not had it done and you did not get a warranty I'd still consider getting the TSB done.
It will cost you around 1700 but its MUCH better than worrying about damage to the transmission later.

The TSB has been updated to a 4th revision and they are now putting the 2010 clutch/assembly in.
You need to be aware this is a pretty widespread problem and most say only a matter of time until you come upon it so
getting it out of the way may be a good idea but that is up to you.
The damage to the transmission can sneak up on you so my advice would be if you have not had the TSB done go ahead and
get it done.

The TSB is TSB 10-3-8
It will list the symptoms out for you so you can test it.

Nice, congrats. Still, you need to be sure exactly what kind of damage that car had. That's an awful lot of money to pay and not be sure of the car's specific history.

Ummm wtf?
The 2008 GT500 is a GREAT CAR and is considered a GREAT CAR.
As far as looks... the 2007-2009 GT500's are considered the best looking Mustangs of the S197 platform by almost all people.

And no you are wrong sir... the 2010 GT is NOT a better car.
The GT500 has a bigger and stronger engine, FORGED, is supercharged has more power, and more room to build on.

The 2012 GT is a GREAT car. If you consider the upgrades to the interior and gadgets making it a 100000% better car, then all power to you.

The 2012 GT has some parts considered better like the upgraded interior and such but the GT500 also has some parts that are better such as the better engine platform.

BOTH cars are great.
We could have gotten a 2012 GT. We compared both... drove both MANY times, talked to Ford guys including techs, drivers, etc.
and spend much time researching both cars.
We chose the 2008GT500. We got it just about 2 years ago with low miles,
and I love it FAR more than ANY 2012GT I have ever driven.
And I have numerous friends that have them.

Hell I have a couple of buds with a new 2012 BOSS and my GT500 is
faster. Now... keep in mind the BOSS was built for the windy roads so
in a long track race it would be the car to choose more than likely.
But guess what? I've got more power, and guess what?
I've got more room to grow on power too!
Plus.. suspension mods are EASY if I wanted to upgrade the handling.
(Even though the GT500 handles perfectly fine)

But the BOSS is an AWESOME car too.
It has more power than the 2012 GT, has better handling than the 2012 GT,
yet still cannot be labeled as better than my 08GT500.
The new BOSS and the 08GT500 both have parts they are strong on and it depends
on what you are looking for.

Both are great cars again.

If you are looking for an upgraded interior and perks then maybe the 2012 is for you.
And yes it is a strong car.
But if you are looking for a faster car, more power out of the box, a stronger platform to build on for mods, a great looking car,
so on and so forth, then the GT500 is the car of choice.

But frankly what you said is ridiculous.
Even those that think the new 2012 GT is better will tell you your statement of it being 10000% better is just blatantly silly.
And your statement that the 08GT500 is not considered a great car is just as blatantly silly.

And your statement that the 08GT500 is not considered a great car is just as blatantly silly.
Lets look at some facts.
According to motor trend:

08 GT 500 - 12.6 sec @ 114.2 mph - Base price 44k
2013 GT - 12.7 sec @ 111.1 mph - Base price 35k
2012 Boss - 12.3 sec @ 115.8 mph - Base price 41k
2011 GT - 12.8 sec @ 110.8 mph Base price 30k

I fully understand those who wasted their money on the GT500s will never admit it, but for those who don't drink the kool aid, the hard truth is a 2011-2012 GT is by far the best Mustang ever produced by Ford. It's virtually a tie in the 1/4 mile with the 08 GT500 yet it's 14k cheaper when using base price.

So I'll ask, why would anyone buy a 08 GT500 that is 4 years older than a car than runs .2 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile that is virtually brand new with all the amenities? The technical term for these people are called kool aid drinkers. They got suckered by Ford and now are left holding the bag trying to un load them on other kool aid drinkers..

Thanks guys. Thanks blacksmoke for the heads up. I have an appt on Friday with the dealer to finish up an either sign or walk depending on what they are gonna offer me. Ill be sure to ask about the TSB and find out exactly what's going on with the damage it supposedly had. I've got a lot more question I'm gonna ask before I sign. Biggest issue is warrenty and If I can get it within my payment range with a decent interest range then shell be comin home with me. And ya Tanner plastidip is not going anywhere near this car lol. Even though I still mess with it on my six lol.
