hey guys,
I finally got around to installing the shifter yesterday. I set it at 9 turns and I love the way it shifts. I went around today grinning like an idiot. I noticed that MGW gave two pieces of the foam material, one with a larger circular cutout and one with a smaller rectangular cutout as well as some dynamat. I installed the foam with the larger cutout only and I am getting some noise thru the shifter area. What puzzles me is the stock shifter had no sound damping at all, and was much quieter... what gives?

I installed both pieces of foam when I did mine. I imagine the bushings would transfer more noise.

That being said, mine sounded very weird to me when I first started it up. Took me a bit, but I realized the noise I was used to hearing was actually just being muffled, which is why I noticed the difference. Probably similar with yours.

ahhh...gotcha. I will just add the other foam and dynamat...Its not an altogether unpleasant sound, just not what I expected. It actually only does it when I get on it hard.

Then I would definitely add at least the second piece and see how it sounds from there. Good luck!
