Default high flow setup in NY

Ive tried searching this for what seems like forever and have not moved forward with my exhaust setup because I get all different types of answers...

currently i swap out my pypes off road pipe with the stock catted pipe for inspection every year... and its getting to the point where I don't feel like doing it anymore. I haven't changed anything because I like the sound I have too much to just go back to a set of mufflers..

NY's inspection if I'm not mistaken is exactly like California's. I have a buddy in a shop who will "look past" the visual part of the inspection, but when the computer is plugged into my car, it has to see the rear o2 sensors. They can not just be turned off, or the check engine light will come on. I have tried the non foulers, they don't work.

I know I am not going to get long tubes to pass inspection, so I would like a set of shorty headers and a HIGH FLOW catted mid pipe. But will this set up pass an inspection?

What would be my options here

I wondered the same thing, i also live in NY. I went with BBK shorty headers and BBK's catted x pipe. we'll see if it passes come inspection time, but i think it will pass because it has cats. But we'll find out i guess

Get a tune from somebody who knows the emissions system in these cars.

I've been running LT's + O/R H for 2+ years and pass mass inspection, which is the same as NY.
