Default Adhesive promoter

Anyone know a local/chain source for adhesive promoter? Got louvers and says to use this as part of preparation. Auto supply store? Know it is available online but I want to install asap so would like to buy over counter.

Thanks.

Any general automotive store should carry adhesion promoter. Don't over spray/use it though! Just enough to make it 'tack'.

While you're at the store, pick up a good automotive surface stripper. Plain old shelf 70% alcohol has too many constituents and can leave contaminants on the surface.

Try NAPA.

Thanks Nuke. Got some 90% alcohol from last install on 2011.

Are you talking about adhesive promoter to paint the louvers or to stick them to the window? I used a adhesive promoter pen to stick on my side scoops and I had to purchase it online. Couldn't find it in any local parts store.

Auto supply paint stores sell adhesive promoter in little single use packets. You take the sponge out and wipe over the surface you have previously cleaned with denatured alcohol. Let it dry for a few minutes the stuff works great.
