Window tints???
Guys,
Fairly new owner of 2010 GT. Loving it so far. About to get reay to do first thing to it, window tints.... My car is charcoal grey, and trying to figure what shade to get. Now that they dont check window tints in nj inspection, i'm gonna tint rears and doors. Want something to look nice, but also not attract to much attention from cops anymore than my exhaust already does... Car doesnt get driven in rain, so most times windows are open. Was thinking about 35%. Just saw a post with 20% and would like to compare... Anybody out there with charcoal grey car and tints... Would love to see pics to help make my decision... After i get my tints, will have first pics posted.. B4 and after... If i am lucky enough to get some posts ith pics, please post % with it.... Thanks guys.... And to all those with other color ponies, feel free to post pucs too, nver get tired of looking at pics... Just creates more things for me to dream about...

Maybe they don't check tint at inspection any more, but it will still attract "official attention" and roadside conversations if it's too far out of line with what they used to pass at inspection. Just because inspection here is only for emissions these days doesn't mean that it's "anything goes" otherwise.
My suggestion is to err on the side of staying lighter with any tint, given your mention of exhaust (and by the way your post reads, your age).

The meter reads about 27% on my car. From most angles (Not the sig pic) it looks just as dark as my old true blue new edge though (It's a very dark blue), and IIRC that car was 15%. The color of your car plays into it quite a bit.

Thanks guys for all the input. Alot are saying 20%. I was hoping for more 30% yes's. i havent really seen any with the 30% yet except for the one. But that was only the doors. I want to keep the same tint all around... I drive for a living so i'm very respectful of the law, so only thing officials would be able to pull me over for would be tints. Plus i dont abuse my baby...lol... Just want it to look awesome parked... I think the 30's will appear darker due to the dark interior. Keep pics coming and i will def share the b4 and after. Hopefully by end of the month...
