I bought a transmission from AMP performance back in '05 for my '95 5.0 and I was satisfied. Had it shipped to Louisiana though. Didn't deal in person.
There is the mustang shop in chandler.. Tey deal with mostly classic mustangs though. I still give them a call. Also dyno-comp in Scottsdale, a real professional performance shop I've been to.
I'd steer clear of AMP.
They don't even build there own engines or do most of the work on there own race cars.
Besides it's not a Mustang shop bur rather it's a 'modern musclecar' shop with Camaros, Challengers etc all over the place.......

I work just down the street from that place (Mustang Shop) in chandler, They are expensive and have to special order most things. They are fair on some classic stuff but for more modern stangs, they're just not setup up for it.
Stage 3 is really the only one I've heard of before in the Phoenix are. Never been there myself though.
Damn. Glad I just bought the transmission from them and installed myself. They were helpful on the phone and guided me for everything I needed to do an auto to manual swap in my '95. I guess their reputation has declined since then.
