2008 shelby gt for 20k??
#33
My 07 GT500 has the SHELBY lettering on the left side of the trunk closely spaced, not spread out across the trunk. That's the original configuration. Apparently some folks like to spread the S H E L B Y out so it's spaced evenly across the rear of the trunk. There are kits on eBay and other places to accomplish this goal and make it look OEM. I'm choosing to leave mine as is because it is OEM

That is a true Shelby GT and priced about what they go for around here.
The one i was looking at had the shelby badge on the rear drivers side tho.
as stated before the shelby window sticker is added after shelby does the upgrades.

as usual this thread shows how some are still unaware of the differences between the GT500 and the Shelby GT.
Since the GT500's never left the actual Shelby factory in Las Vegas... well, just don't go confusing the 2, okay?
The SGT was a limited production and is much rarer than the GT500. Many are upgraded with superchargers and can run with the GT500's, at least according to the track threads.
They were a great way for someone to buy a Mustang off the showroom floor that had a beefed up suspension, throatier exhaust and a tune, which would have run several thousand dollars, not to mention installation costs. They ran circles around the Premium GT's from 2005-2010, and should still out-handle any stock 5.0.
I think it was probably a real SGT that might have been in an accident, like maybe rear ended. That would explain the incorrect badging (good eye, 157db!).
The Shelby GT's came with the stock FORD GT fake gas cap on the back.
I feel it's a good price, as I would expect the low end for an SGT with this many miles to go for about $23K so close to NYC, but it would HAVE to be inspected for what I assume is some prior damage. I don't think someone would clone an SGT so well and then screw up on the rear badge, which to me says it was a poor repair shop that screwed it up- which is SOP for those guys.

that background, and the third is a pic taken outside in the sun but the car is "inside"

You sir, are mistaken. The "Shelby GT" was nothing special, same exact thing as the Hertz edition. What you are referring to is the CS6 & CS8 that was a Force Induction V6 & V8 package that I don't think was ever offered by a dealer but something you get from Shelby. There were a limited quantity of Shelby GT/SC models, which also wasn't offered through dealers.
And you could order a shelby gt with any option you wanted that was available from the CSM catalog, so theoretically, no two cars are alike.
