that's good to hear that that is normal. still bummed that this whole mess was created trying to fix something that is normal though ;(

I am waiting a little bit on throwing the stock intake/tune on, I want to see what AM/Bama wants to do on Monday for next steps

.. not that I am glad you went through that, but it's refreshing to read that someone else had this issue as a tuning issue. kinda helps reaffirm my thoughts on a bad tune causing this. maybe a bad tuner device even while loading the tunes, the thing did crash during a firmware upgrade and I had to re-do that. seemed to work, but maybe it corrupted something ..

If nothing else go to The Mustang Shop near Seattle and get a proper dyno tune put on. That way they see everything on the car and might be able to solve all your issues. I went there about 3 monthes after I got my Bama tunes and they got another 18rwhp over and above what I got from the email tunes.

I've thought about that, but I really like the warranty with BAMA.

coldest temps .. in severe cases, in the teens.. as of late? around 45.

SCT replied to me (reached out to them for input too), pretty quick to reply.. they suggested that some other Mustangs having this issue / caused by a misfire need to have the crankshaft relearn procedure performed by Ford.

sounds like I should install the stock intake and tune to see if it does it on that to eliminate the tune/map as a possibility, but I dunno. will call BAMA in a bit to see what they think.

fun times ahead..

Ahhh I guess the general bama email address is having issues at the moment .. forwarding the info to a direct email address. It may just be that I'm tuned on the wrong steeda intake at the moment .. hopefully that is all that it is, that would be an easy fix.

Hey Entaille,

I'm really sorry about all the issues you've experienced with your tunes. This sounds really odd because we've dialed our tunes in so good that in most cases they don't even require a revision though along more then one. However it sounds like we definitely dropped the ball here and I'm sorry it happened to you.

I'm glad to hear that you've got in direct contact with a Bama team member however I want to make sure you're taken care of. Shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'm going to get you in direct contact with my head tuning specialist Mike Wilson. I'm confident he'll get you squared away very quickly!

I appreciate your patience, hang in there! You'll be enjoying your tunes in no time.

-Dan

Don't know specifically about the 2011+ mustangs but most newer cars (and especially those with throttle by wire or adaptive learning) need to have the idle and fuel trims relearned in order have the car idle correctly and have throttle tip-in be calibrated correctly.

I have never heard of a Ford Crankshaft relearn procedure? Maybe they are calling something else these days.
