Operation: Man Cave!

Operation: Man Cave!
Hey Guys,
So started on the newest project for the car... The man cave! Ok, I tried to fight the wife on calling that. My argument, it doesn't have a TV so it cant be a mancave... Her argument, I just dumped half our budget for this round of renovations on the house into the garage, including new toolboxes, workbench, etc... So I gave up, time to embrace it.
The back round here is the house is 15 years old, never had a coating on the floor, and the woman who lived heres son was into building his own off road vehicles, and prided himself on taking 30 year old rear ends and having them build... without ever cleaning up the axle grease he kindly left in his moms garage.....
So here goes where we are at to now, I'll update as I go:
pre start:
First cleaning the floor with dish soap
now I didn't think I had many cracks, till I started filling them... man, once you find a hairline crack and start chasing it with filler, you see just how many you have. Look how dark most of the floor is.
Here I am using a degrease / etchers. Notice the foaming near where I am brushing. If it is not foaming, its not working.
you can see how much lighter the slab looks now. But there are some dark spots left from old grease spills so I hit it with a sander and:
sprayed everything again... Here is the second round of degrease.
For now the BOSS sits under its pretty cover:
Today I would have pictures up of the work we did. That was painting the walls and ceiling white. Painting all the molding an intense old Ford blue / Kobalt blue color.... However someone, not gonna name names, kicked over the can of that nice, dark blue paint, onto the now porous concrete floor that soaked it up fast.... So instead of taking pictures, I spent the evening spreading a 3rd coat of etcher on all my new blue spots.

I actually consider "man-cave" to be a term of endearment. Have fun getting it just right!
We just moved into a new house with an attached and detached garage. There's an air conditioned workshop in the detached garage plus room there for my boat and 2 cars. My wife said she'd get me a mini-fridge and another Direct TV line there. I told her if there was a bathroom she wouldn't see me for days.

Thanks guys, the blue trim looks awesome, gonna serv well to break up the white, I'll try to snap some pics tonight. That and prime the floor! I guess I never said the full plan, I'll keep some details down, make you want more :-) But I will put it this way, the room is going to be extremely bright and shiny! The detail I will give, is tht I am putting in 2 8' double high output bulb units, in addition to what's already there. So 4 4' regular intensity lights wiidth wise. 4 8' high intensity bulbs length wise. Should be like daylight in there.
