Default UGH Power washer took off a chip of paint

Well the power washer I was using to wash the car today took a chop of paint off my front bumper. I'll post a pic so everyone can see it, but I'm just wondering if there is a good touch up kit I can use on it. I don't have the funds to take it to a body shop right now (unless its going to be super cheap).

The factory paint shouldn't have come off that easy... Was your front bumper ever repaired? If so, could it have a warranty from the body shop?

If you've never had the front bumper repaired, are you outside of the bumper to bumper warranty from FoMoCo?

Sorry to see that either way. Good luck.

Don

Maybe you can fix it yourself with Perfect Match by Dupli-color.

Go to the dealership and ask for some touch up paint.

Hard to be sure from here, but it looks like a bumper scuff that loosened the paint. Annoying, but better than having defective paint all over the bumper.

Otherwise, a great looking car!

The advice above about fixing it yourself is good.

Good Luck!

Duplicolor perfect match is actually a better match than any other touch-up I have gotten mixed directly from the dealership

Don't power wash your car. There is no need. A good soap, proper mits, a clay bar, etc is the best way to do it. Power washing is a way to do it quick, not well.

if there is a defeat in the paint, a crack, a hole, a chip ... and you power wash it at the right (wrong) angle, it can easily remove an entire piece like that.

be careful with them

Yeah lesson learned. It did have a scuff that was repaired a few years ago. It was done while I was stationed in Italy though, so I can't talk to the shop. I'll try the duplicolor option. Thanks guys.
