Default 2011 Z06 or 2013 Shelby GT500?

Hey guys! New to the forum.

I currently own a 2011 Z06 and have had a lot of intrest in the Shelby and was wondering if anyone had any feedback as to the comparisons and any first hand knowledge of driving the Shelby. I think they are both amazing machines and the youtube videos all seem to show that. Vette better handling GT500 more power ext ext... Thanks again for the input!

Well my understanding is you can order one, but are under no obligation to actually buy it.

I'd order one if you can and see how you like it. Would you trade the Z in for it?

Keep your Z06, much better car in my opinion. Just mod it if you need more power.

If you like driving in the twisties, keep the Z06. If you like brute force/muscle, get the GT500. GT500 can make serious power for little $, unlike the vette tax.

Vette tax is still relatively cheap compared to modding other manufacturers' cars.

yup!

OP - I think the z06 is an amazing car, personally. if you are not getting the full benefits of the handling, braking, lower weight etc... and you want something with slightly more brute strength and a little more practicality, the GT500 is an excellent choice.

it's really up to you to decide what gets you more excited!

also - I am also under the belief that you can order a car, test drive it, and are under ZERO obligation to buy it. my brother in law is doing that with a BRZ right now. 6 month wait.. and he'll decide if he wants it when it arrives.
