Engine light flashed a a few times then went off?
I was driving on the highway in 5th gear at about 60 mph in my 2011 GT. I had been driving for about 10 minutes and hadnt been full throttle or anything and was just cruising around a long sweeper when the engine light started flashing, it flashed like 4 times then went off. The car didnt seem to have any issue at all, i wonder why it flashed? Anyone else experience this?
Its been almost 5k since an oil change, but i checked the oil recently (a week ago) and the level seems to be fine and it looked clean enough, also the oil pressure and temp and everything on the guages seemed fine, and the car didnt make any noises or feel down on power.
what could have caused this?
engine is 100% stock as far as i know (i bought it with 15k miles), my exhaust is roush axleback...

I would have stopped driving if it stayed on.. but it went off so i just went home. Car seemed fine too. Ill be taking it in tomorrow for an oil change and ill ask them to check if any code popped... the light is off currently though.

Took it to the shop this morning for an oil change and told them about this, we will see what they say or find.

Make an appointment at your dealership so they can inspect. Ford certified techs are going to be your best bet when it comes to accurate diagnosis and repair. I'm happy to step in here and get your case escalated as well; just send me a PM with your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Have a great day,
Crystal

I had this before with my 06 GT. The the flashing check engine light for about 10-15 seconds ( I think mine went into partial limp mode as well on the highway ) This is caused by a misfire. Make sure that your plugs are good. My problem was that there was a small puddle of water sitting by my injectors that was seeping through I'm pretty sure.
