I can't believe that noone hear nor at the dealer even thought of this.

As you may remember, I had an issue which I mentioned in this thread that I cannot find my Track Apps anymore although I could've sworn that I've seen it on my car.

the thing I was unsure of, is that I did a Sync Update on my vehicle myself when I bought it and the guys at the dealer told me I shouldn't have done it because that SYNC update is only intended for vehicles in the USA and not for our region (Dubai)

They didn't have a clue what to do. They kept my car for 3 hours and called me back saying it's fixed only to discover that nothing at all has changed. Basically, they are a bunch of muppets who know nothing and they said they will e-mail forward to check what is the fix in my case


The guys at the forums here had no ideas

Well today, I just thought of inserting my other car key that I had and the moment I switched the car on I saw the track apps!!!!

It was the key, I somehow might have activated something on my key called Drive Safe which essentially got rid of the Track Apps. I didn't know how to change that setting so I reinserted the key which HAD the track apps still there and did a reset for all other keys and now my problem is fixed!

I am going straight to the service center's manager to tell him that all your tech people are muppets

Just wanted to post this maybe it will help anyone

You must have messed with the "admin key" setting.

And had you mentioned that someone here might have thought of that as an option.

I setup my key on one of the keys, track apps was no longer there. if you use a key that does not have my key activated or admin key, you will have track apps visible.

Berryracer - look at your owner manual and it will explain all of that, how to set up a "my key" and what you can do.
