I can't figure out what it is. Maybe its because I took off the tape stripes or I need to lower it. Hell I don't know. I was hoping someone here could help me out if they see what they think it is missing.

Well, my thought is that there is to much gold.....needs to be broken up with some striping somewhere..... What stripes did you remove? To me, the gold is a hard color to work with. My '00 Super Duty is gold....still not sure how I want to change it since it has a dark blue stripe on the lower two tone section.

I removed these stripes-

I was thinking of breaking it up with something but I think the black pinstripe down the side of the car would get in the way.

Also, would you mind telling me how you have your fog lights mounted behind the grille? I would like to do the same to mine as I have the same grille except the black version.

You can always add some racing stripes or some fender stripes to break up all the gold.

Definitely too much gold IMO. Like someone else also said, gold is a hard color to work with, but I'd do something with stripes to help you out there. I don't personally think pin-stripes would be enough to do the job.

I would try some pin striping. Get some tape stripes from a local parts store and play with them until you find the right style. Then have them painted.

On the fog lights, I found some 3" round clear lens lights that used a single bolt mount. I drilled a hole in the lip just a bit lower than the hood latch....mounted them to hang centered and wired them.

When I look at your car, the four things things that I would do is
1. Take off the window grills......sometimes it looks okay but in my opinion its too much.....let the black window tint show to break up the gold.....it will give it a cleaner look.

2. Lower it.....just dont slamm it.....our cars dont look good slammed to the ground, eibach, steeda, ford racing ........go to tirerack .com and look for springs. There is an interactive program that will show you how a car looks with stock springs and how it will look with after market.

3. Chin spolier.....with your set up (spoiler) it will give your car some semitry when viewed from the side. I looked on american muscle for your year which I beleive its a 2010-2011 it will make a huge difference. Without it the car looks as if its nose was cut off.

4. optional black mat racing strip down the middle of the car...ex..GT500 stripe. or the fender stripes.....both great ideas from other members.

I hope this helps

Angel

Search yahoo images for your year mustang in gold too get some other ideas. This way you can put your touch on them and make it your own.
