Lock keeps freezing.
I have never had this problem before ,but my driver door lock keeps seizing up and won't let me turn my key to unlock it. It has happened twice tonight. Temp is about 28 degrees. I do not have a key fob. Idk why it's doing this tonight, but the first time I used wd-40 to get it unlocked. Any help with this issue?

The lock cylinder probably needs to be cleaned. You probably got some dirt & moisture in there that are gumming it up. Check out the video below. Its for an ignition lock cylinder, but the concept is the same. Pull the lock cylinder and clean it out.

So basically just take off the door panel and pop off a few clips slide it out and clean it? Sounds like I'm going to have some fun. Why couldn't this happen on my day off lol. Oh well thanks man!

btw, don’t use WD-40 in lock cylinders or any liquid based lubes. They will retain moisture and/or dirt making things worse over time.
