Default BBK long tubes

So what's the word on these? They are a lot cheaper than the Borla or Kooks. Anyone know if these are any good or should I spend the extra and get the Kooks, Borla, or something else? Thanks guys.

Love my BBK long tubes, the look just like they did when I opened the box. The guy at my local performance shop recommended them. BBK had a $100 off sale and AM matched that plus free shipping.

Awesome, three different responses from three different people...lol. Money is no object for me but I don't want to needlessly spend more if I don't have to. I am looking to get the best bang for the buck deal. If the BBK offers the same or similar performance gains as say the kooks, then why not go with the BBK?

For headers you should go with a good SS. To get the BBK's in 304SS its $800 per their website. That also doesnt include the midpipe.

A set from ARH will be around $1300, but will include the midpipe, as well as any o2 extensions you'll need and all the hardware. The quality will be second to none, and they are made in the USA.

A local tuner has tested many LT's, and ARH always net the best gains.

I spent several months researching when i got my headers and listened to 10 billion sound clips and read all the which headers are best threads and compared performance charts, etc etc. Now, I dont think there is THAT much difference. As long as they make some noise add some power and dont fall off:') Many I talked with are are happy with pacesetter and they dont cost much at all.

Not sure which BBK's you're looking at...if they seem REALLY cheap, those are the chrome plated carbon steel ones. I hear chrome holds up OK unless it starts to peel, then they pretty much rust to crap.

The more expensive ($600) ones are ceramic coated carbon steel, they seem to be pretty popular according to american muscle's website.

If I get the BBK it will be the ceramic coated headers. I do like stainless but I am wondering if it is really necessary. The car does not see rain, snow, or salt so I think corrosion is the least of my worries.
