Default Will dealerships run out of 2013 mustangs soon?

Hi all, new member here.

Im about to buy my first new car, a 2013 Mustang GT, and Im trying to figure out when will be the best time to buy. I want a 300a base model in black, although price is more important than color. I have found a good deal on a base model in blue ($25,425) but i really wanted a black one. Will dealerships get more 2013's or are they just getting rid of them all before the 2014's roll out. Should i hurry and pull the trigger now and get 6k off msrp or should i wait it out until they have a black one?

It's usually mid/late summer to fall when the new models come out, right? So I think you still have some time. And it seems like dealers usually have that last 'model clear out' sale at that time to clear out the previous year's inventory. Since Mustangs are such good sellers, I wouldn't think dealers would stop stocking them at any point anyway. But that's just my best guess...

2014's are already being built and orderer in by the dealers so I'd say whatever 2013's are on the lot now is all there will be.

They stopped building 2013s last fall and started taking orders for 2014 last Nov. They are building 2014s now and should be at your local dealer real soon. You can still get a 2013 off dealer lots if you want one but the 2014 is basically the same model. Only a couple colors and options have changed. They still have black.

From the ford website it shows a 2013 model has a $2000 rebate and the 2014 only has a $1000 rebate.

Reading these posts makes me SOOOOO want another Mustang GT. I have had our of them in my life (a 1988, 1993, 1995 and a leased 2008) and will eventually get another one someday.

If I were in the market right now (which I am not, unfortunately), I would wait two or three months and then order a 2014 just the way I want it. Buying a 2013 now would be okay if you really want one, but remember that the car will essentially be "a year old" after you make two payments on it. That is just my two cents on the issue.

..they just ran out five minutes ago.

I wish I was in a situation to buy a brand new one. If the 2014's are coming out soon though it would be a great chance to get a 2013 at a discount.

You all missed it. The '14's rolled out last week and the 15's are on their way to dealers now. The 16's and 17's are waiting to be shipped and the 2019's will fly on their own to dealers near you by this summer. The reason I skipped 2018 is because Ford felt like they were behind...

I bought a 2013 GT on valentines day. They had several 2014's on the lot. I could not see any difference between a '13 and '14.
