Default BAMA Hybrid Tune

Anyone here heard of or using the "Hybrid" tune from BAMA?

I am currently using it.

I feel it is a mix of the street and race tunes. The lower end responds like the street tune with a street throttle response then higher RPM's the throttle response tightens up and has the upper RPM pep.

You have to request it from them.

Nyke couldn't have described it any better! That's exactly what the Hybrid tune is designed to do. If you're interested in the Hybrid tune, just give Bama a shout @ 888.226.9764 and they'll gladly hook you up!

Only thing to keep in mind is the Hybrid tune is very similar to the Race tune in a few aspects. You will not be able to pass emissions testing with the tune uploaded (if required in your County), and economy is not a main focus. The Street and Performance tune is recommend for emissions testing and optimal fuel economy.

So the BAMA Race/Hybrid tune will not pass emissions testing? Anyone running the race tune as their daily tune?

Just curious - any specific details on this and why? - please be as technical/detailed as possible with regards to specific parameters that would affect the emissions testing. I guess I would/should not be wanting to run a race/hybrid tune as my "day-to-day" tune but use it only on occasion?

Asking because I am deciding on which 3 BAMA tunes to order. Note: Emissions testing is not required in my area but may be interesting for some members. I do though, want to get the most aggressive performance safely possible for daily use. Economy is not a factor in my case - improved throttle response, more aggressive shift points and increased/optimum torque at 1200 - 4500 rpm are key so this tune sounds good.

Thanks for any input on this as I have never run a tune on any of my previous 4 manual GTs and this tune sounded interesting - might give it a try instead of the race tune.

Note: I now have a 2012 GT Automatic - 100% stock with only plans for GT500 exhaust and maybe 3.73 gears in the future..

I assume I can get this tune with my free tunes for life?
What about gas mileage, similar to the race tune?

I had this tune. I aswell went back to the performace tune. Did do much for me.

You ask for this tune and you will put what fuel octane you would like to use for it. For the Best results use the greatest Octane rating. I use 93 but alot of areas 91 is the best.

They will send the tune to you if you have the Tunes for life.

Is the Hybrid tune only available in 91-93 octane like the Race tune?
