Default Is this my clutch or tranny problem?

Hello all,
Over the past month it seems I have been having a problem with either my clutch or transmission. It is not a standard slipping clutch feeling where, but it seems that when I come to a complete stop my transmission drops below where it should in RPMs. Just last nights while I was rolling into a parking space, my RPMs dropped down to about 250 and felt like it was going to stall. And same again today, while I was waiting in my car, I was idling and everything was fine, then for no reason it dropped below 250 and shuddered, but after about 2 seconds it rose back up to where it should. Is this another sign my clutch is going bad or is this possibly a tranny problem? this has been doing it every few weeks for the past 3 months, but seems to be getting more consistent.

More info, my mustang is an 05 with 94k miles. I have never changed my spark plugs before. What I just noticed within my first post, was that when idling, if I use something that draws power, opening doors, windows up or down, that seems to be the trigger. I asked a friends father who is a mechanic, he thinks maybe my throttle body is dirty. Anybody else think this could be it?

Cleaning the throttle body is always a good thing to do, and may solve the issue.
But if it doesn't, I would start looking at the electrical system... Spark plugs, COPS, and even the alternator. Feels like more of a spark issue to me.

check your alternator. These cars get all weird when the alt starts trippin' Being that your trigger is an electrical draw of some type, that's my guess.

I would also suggest cleaning your throttle body and MAF sensor.
Have you had your battery and/or alternator tested recently?
Also, stalling issues could be related to a clogged fuel filter.

I'm going to go with Alternator too.

clean throttle body and maf. check all hoses and openings into the engine. I had this exact same issue and going over my motor find the oil fill cap was loose, tightened it back down and the problem solved. like others said, test the alternator, maybe change the plugs, etc. Either way doesn't sound like a driveline issue
