Default Brake, hazard, turn signal inop

I have an 07 and my passenger rear brake lamps, hazards, and turn signals just stopped working. The front turn signals work properly. Both sets of tail lights come on but nothing else works on the passenger side. The bulbs are new and the sockets look perfect. Any thoughts would be helpful.

I assume the bulbs are new because you just replaced them for the same problem? Are you sure you used the correct bulb type?

So your turn signal indicator on the dash and your front passenger turn signal light flash at normal speed, or faster than the driver side?

The bulbs are new from ford. The driver side flashes at normal speed. The passenger blinks fast on the dash, but the bulbs do not flash on the passenger tail lamps. The front lamp is working.

That rules out your flasher relay then. It's designed to blink fast on the side where a bulb is not turning on.

If you have the correct bulbs and they work (try swapping them between drivers/passenger side) then I'd start looking at the wires themselves on the passenger side rear.

When did you first notice the fast blinking on the passenger side? Did you just get the car washed?

It started yesterday. I washed it this last weekend. The lamps and sockets are dry. Right at first it was intermittent. They would work properly and then not work. Now they are not working constantly. I didn't see any fuses that stood out in the owners manual either.

On my Wife's old VW Passat, the hazard relay switch blew, which caused the turn signals, hazards and horn not to work.

I was puzzled also because of the brake lights not coming on even tho the bulbs were good. Maybe a wire is shorting out somewhere.

Have you checked for a fuse issue?

Started after you washed it? Wire is shorted somewhere.

Check inside the trunk wheel wells for moisture and also check behind the passenger kick panel (where the big fuse panel is). Depending on the build date of your 07 you may or may not have the SJB (smart junction box) issue.

Water got in somewhere it wasn't supposed to.
