Default Everyone with window tint on their 08-09, Get in here.

My window tint is scratched like something terrible... I've heard Ford started putting felt pads in the 08+ models. I'm looking into buying said OEM felt pads instead of moleskin, but I wanted to make sure you guys with 08-09 cars don't have any scratching on your tint before I get mine re-done.

Sooooo, does anyone with an 08-09 have scratched tint? Thanks!

No issues with mine other than where the dealer put the window sticker and the adhesive stained the tint.

I have an 06, and used the moleskin method but the florida heat destroyed that quickly. It wasn't all that successful either, I then switched to the 08+ weather strips as you mentioned and I get an occasional scratching sound still.

Dirt/debris gets in the track regardless, and even though I hear scratching sounds pre-moleskin, using moleskin and the new weather strips my tint still looks good and was put on in 07. (had the car since 05)

I think at the time, they were about $45 a piece for the strips and much better than putting moleskin on IMO. My exterior strips are faded and haven't decided if I want to drop the $130-140 on the pair of those yet..

No issues on my 08. the only scratches on the tint are from when my wife was driving and had her ring hand up against the glass to keep the sun out for a few seconds.

This is great info, thanks. I was worried about moleskin as I have heard it lets go in the heat. Can't have that living in the south. Guess I will go with the OEM strips. Tousley has them for $56 for both now. Glad they have come down in price some.
