Default Vintage rims...

As long as we were talking about rims, does anyone know what vintage rims might fit on a S197? My first choice would be Torq Thrust D's, with Cragar Slots a close second. Also in the running would be Keystone Classics or American Racing 200s...

I'm fairly certain the offset wouldn't work for any of these, but it would be nice.

Most of the classic style would be 15" rims and would not fit over the brakes either. I would bet there are newer styles close to the old look that would fit. I seem to remember the Torque Thrust D's being made in a 17"......do some research with wheel companies.

Cragar started making the S/S in 17,18 and 20 iirc.

Theres also the shelby styled wheels.

Most are no larger than 17's and of those that are 18 and larger the style was changed enough that honestly, they don't really mimic the older ones enough. Check both Cragar and the American Racing websites.

On the upside, I did see an ad for 17" Magnum 500's in Mustang Monthly, but I don't think they would look appropriate...

Default Check these out....

I used FRPP 17x8 Bullitt style for the SN 95, painted with Blast Cast paint from Summit Racing. The offset for those brings the wheel out more than those designed for the S197

I had 18" Magnum 500 replica wheels on my 06 GT.
I liked them, but everyone has different tastes.

I think Foose sells something that looks pretty similar to those.
