I daily drive my Mustang in the summer with 4:10's and have no issues. Barely noticed any difference in fuel mileage and it is way more fun on the streets.

Do you know if I have to call bama and write me another tune for installing new gears?

They're fine. I drove from Texas to Utah in my car. If youre on the island then you'll absolutely love them. Here in Utah, the canyons and mountains are a blast with 4.10s. Much better control over engine speed when driving too!

Just make sure you have the gears adjusted in the tune. If you have the tuner just hook it up to the car and adjust the tune, don't have to have Bama do it.

410 gears dont require a new tune. Just plug in your tuner and go to parameters, arrow down to gears, enter 410. That simple. It will calibrate your speedo also. Make sure your tire size is entered also.

Sorry, I don't agree with American Muscle's statement. I put 4:10's in my '07 daily driver (was 3:55 ) at day one and don't regret it for a minute. Your '05 on the highway will only be at about 2450 rpm's in 5th gear at 70 mph. And, in the City, well.... just hold on.. lol !! You will see shortly that tons of guys here will also support 4:10's...saying , "don't fear the gear !!

Much of these statements will be preference and opinion, but here's a fact...if you currently have 3.55's, upgrading to 3.73's is a waste of money as you will barely notice it.
Advantage 4.10!

you have 3.55's. I have 4.10's and a whipple supercharger and my average speed is probably 45-55mph. I got 17.6 mpg my last tank of gas. I'm not a hyper-miler either. I practice my launch at every stop light.

I wouldn't say 4.10's are bad for a daily driver. The difference between 3.55's and 4.10's is very noticeable. If you think you might supercharge the car, then I'd say wait till after the supercharger.
