Default Need Your Professional Opinion

I'm getting a lot of work done this week to my 13 GT. Last mods going in is suspension and this is where I'm lost. Work will be done by GTR High Performace in Rancho Cucamonga, California. They quoted me a price of $1230.18 for everything that includes labor.

The list:

Steeda Springs 1inch-1.5inch drop
I believe Steeda LCA
Relocation Bracket(what the hell is that)
Panhar Bar

These guys are adamant about me not getting shocks and struts. They said that I will be good with my track pack springs Ford puts in these cars now. Usually companies will try to take your money, but these guys are telling me to save my money because shocks and strucks aren't needed. How do the pros here feel about that? Will the mods posted above be good enough? How does the price for everything look? No, I cannot do any of these myself. This car is just a DD 3 days out of the week. I've had the car for 8 months and it only has 2700 miles, that's how little I drive it. Thanks guys.

Do I need shocks and struts? Is the price I gave fair for the mods listed? It's all right there. Are the mods listed good for a daily driver? ;-)

I think the price for parts and labor seems fair. As for shocks and struts, it's really up to you.

idk, labor seems a bit high.
those are all fairly simple things to install yourself..

$1230 seems a little high to me, but it also would depend what the shop's labor rate is.

Yeah, they might be a higher-rate shop depending on what they're used to working on. What do you think you need new struts and shocks for? I'd venture to say that 90% of drivers can't drive their car good enough to reach the limits 100% stock. Unless you're going for a different "feel" altogether, you'll be fine with stock.

Decide what you want to do and let the mods drive you in that direction. Modding without an end goal will only end up wasting you money.

So for the most part, does everyone agree that shocks and struts are optional? That's really my whole dilemma.

Really depends on what you want to do and how you want the car to feel. Do you like how it drives now? What is motivating you to change them? Are you even sure what effect changing them will have? Don't be afraid to ask questions if you're not altogether sure what effect they'll have.

I'm really only doing it for looks. I am not going to the track or anything. Don't want to slam it, just cover those gaps.
