Test drove a 2014 5.0 today - Woah

I got a 13 GT this last February. I thought about waiting then thought about it some more. Having bought a first year car before I plan to not do that again. So I would be looking at a 16 at the very earliest. So I got a 13 and in 16 will ether keep my 13 or look at trading.

The new 5.0's are a dream to drive! If you really want it go for it by all means! but then again theres nothing wrong with waiting and seeing what the 2015 mustang looks like..
Only downside to waiting is the wait, but things will get cheaper too

The 5.0 truly is a great car. Keep in mind the new updates keep the 13/14 fresh and it will be the last of it's kind (redesign in 15). I have no doubt the 15 will be improved but you'll still have arguably the best version of the S197. Good luck.

My insurance will increase substantially being that I'm under 25yo, but I'm already well prepared for that!

I traded in my 2006 GT for a 2013 and I was absolutely floored by how much of an upgrade the 2013 was in every aspect. It's a different car,- smoother, more powerful, nicer interior, and it looks killer. I love the 5.0.

This is what's holding me back from walking away with a 2014 or slightly used 2013. That along with the new styling, lighter curb weight and IRS. As much as I really want a 2014 or 2013, I would really hate to experience buyer's remorse if come to find out the 2015 is all that and a bag of chips.

GM Supercar? Really? You found it that much better than your 06? Did you have any mods on your old car? I ask because I was thinking about posting a similar question only in reverse. I test drove a '12 with only 3000 miles on it. I did like it. For all the same reasons I like my 06. But after the drive I got back in my car to go to work and actually thought mine felt livelier. Now I do have a few mods including a tune, springs and shifter but I still can't be anywhere near the specs of a new car. I suppose if I did some of these things to a new car it would feel even better but I left the dealership thinking naaah, I'll save my money. Great car. Especially if you're coming from a 4.0. Just wondering if other GT owners have had a similar experience.
And to respond to the OP, once the '14's are in the dealership, wait until close to the end of the month and pick up an "old" '13 for a steal.

I drove a Boss 302 and it blew my mind, so I can definitely understand everyone's feelings. For my part, I just like having my car be mine (paid for, etc), so I have no interest in buying another one. I like the styling on mine as well. What it did make me do is buy a whole new suspension setup and put aside money for an upgraded engine and supercharger...
