found a set of 4 Mustang Shelby Razor Wheel
Found a set of 4 for $375. 18x9 all around. I have always used the stock wheels that came with the vehicle.
Would they affect the performance and acceleration of the vehicle? How wide can i go? can i do 305 or 295 ? Would the car look funny if it's not lowered with bigger wheels and have 9 all around?
Please help, Thank you

I think the main issue for me is the fact that i have 235s which is pretty skinny. Car might look a lot better with wider rims and wheels and i can also get some more traction .

275 is the widest recommended size for a 9-inch wheel. Anything larger, and it will affect the handling of your car in the twisties. Also, the way a given tire in a given size fits the wheels can vary depending on the tire manufacturer.
And $375 for a set of razors is a damn good price.

285/40 tires really need at least 9.5" wide wheels. This has more to do with heat generation in the sidewall due to normal tire flexing, and where in the sidewall the flexing concentrates the heat (this varies with wheel width) more than it does with how it behaves in "normal-traffic" driving.
Squeezing an overly wide tire onto any given wheel width tends to reduce steering precision and in particular dulls turn-in steering response when it's done up front. I don't think I'd ever mount 285-wide tires on anything less than 10" wide wheels.
Steven - Putting 295's or 305's on 9" wide rims is flat-out wrong and won't even look good to anybody who knows much about tires. Don't listen to anybody who tells you different; these tires are not supposed to look like 1960's 83-profile tires with huge amounts of sidewall bulging out past the wheel flanges.

I love the Shelby Razors, they look sick! I'd suggest something like a 255/45-18 size tire. Too big and you get the effects Norm talks about. Too small and you get the Eurotuner stretched look, which also negatively affects ride.
