Awesome.

Make sure to leave sufficient time between coats for the touch up paint.

Save the last coat for the clear coat touch up as it wont be as noticeable when you layer it up, and can be polished (even) out accordingly!

Will do. Do you know exactly where I can get the clearcoat? I don't have it, just the touch up. Got that off eBay. Should I just look for my color code in Ford clearcoat?

I had exactly the same issue. I sanded it down, wiped it over, and put touch up paint on it. Check on it later and consider another coat. good luck!

Doubt the dealership carries clearcoat..but it's worth a try.
You could use Duplicolor's products.

I use the clearcoat touch up from Turtle wax's scratch repair kit.

I think I'm going to use the clearcoat in the Turtle Wax Scratch Repair Kit, simply because it's available at Autozone near me instead of waiting for something to get shipped to me.

Stupid question incoming: So clearcoat is what exactly? Because if I put touch up paint on, and then the clearcoat that comes with this, it will match the color? I don't know much about it. Or do I need one that specifically is matched to my color?

I use a primer, followed by base coat...2-3 layers, then polish that smooth (use t-shirt wrapped around the edge of a credit card), clean that up, followed by clear coat...

Well I got rid of the small rust spots but I noticed that they can pretty much happen anywhere and you just have to be vigilant. I blotched the touch up paint a little though.
