I like it ! the controls are very well integrated, having the same blue ligthning than the console control.

where is your LED blinking alert ?

is it easy enough to read the display on the upper center console while driving ?

That's it in the middle picture. It's not hard to read while driving, but it's not like I could stare at it for a long period of time. It's just something I glance at when it goes off. If it's X or K I mute it, if it's Ka I glance up at it every so often to see how many bars it is at.

there's also a green / red blinking LED light that comes with the 9500ci to indicate the unit being powered and a signal detected.

I guess the previous user didn't install it ?

I have been trying to take a picture of mine installed the past couple days but haven't been able to find a signal when my camera was handy... picture to come

Looks cool. Is your display in the mirror? How did you do that, and would it be hard to change mine?

it's not that hard. hopefully I took enough pictures to make a how to this week end.

Basically 7 steps, with difficulties 1-5.
- Mirror Removal (5)
- Mirror Disassembly (5)
- Beltronics Screen Disassembly (1)
- In-Mirror Screen Stand DIY (2)
- RJ-22 In-Mirror Socket Wiring (1)
- Mirror Re-assembly (1)
- RJ-22 Cable to pass behind the windshield plastics (1)

Miror Removal and disassembly are painful imo.
Maybe if you have the ford tool for removal it'll get easier ?

Disassembly isn't easy either. Opening the case is crafter's art. this thing is super thightly fit. be sure to have some "no scratch tools": you'll need a small one to dig, and an extra large one to pull
