Default Best Tune ? BAMA / Brenspeed / CNL / EvoPerform ...

Hello.

I am soon to be done with the Mods on my stand and have started shopping for a tune.

Which provider would you recommend ? I believe they are not all identical.

My car is a 2011 v6 Auto with:
- Steeda CAI
- 410 Gears
- Borla Atak exhaust
- 91 Octane (no 93 here in so cal)

And the Providers I have found so far are:
- Amazon (?)
- AED -$250+extras/1
- BAMA - $149/unlimited
- Brenspeed - $95/1 or $145/3
- CNL - $75/1 or $110/3
- EvoPerform - $200/1
- Latemodelrestoration - $79/1 & unlimited adjustments (?=unlimited tunes ?)
- Liverpool (?)
- Lund (?)
- Steeda - $99/1
- VMP - $99/1 (contacted: only 1 tune available for 91. mix of street/performance. no race)

did I forgot a provider ?

How and Why are you running a steeda CAI without a Tune? It requires one. And secondly, with your 4.10 gears did somebody recalibrate your speedo for you?

sorry for the confusion.

I do run a tune. it is not what is called a "custom tune" though: I have a SCT tuner, and selected the option Steeda CAI & 91 Octane. Running a custom made tune would give better performance, reason why I would like to buy one for my car.

The 4.10 gears are actually not yet installed: sitting in the living room and waiting for D-Day: Tuesday 4:00pm

Bama already works with SCT tuners, and the unlimited tunes is awesome. they simply email you the new ones, and you just upload them.

I love American muscle, but for tunes i use brenspeed. There whipple tune was perfect right out of the box and while they don't advertise tunes for life, they have revised my tune to turn off the rear o2's when I added a wideband and when I bought my frpp throttle body. It took an additional tune to get the throttle body right, all at no additional cost.

The American muscle tunes for life deal is tough to beat, but for my supercharged car, i felt more comfortable with brenspeed.

I see lots of mods but no stangs in your sig

thanks for the answers on the poll guys !
looks like BAMA is the most popular around MFers.

I'll continue to do a little research and buy my tune in a couple days

I have tunes from bama and brenspeed. After trying both, here were my impressions.
Bama's tune needed work = datalogging. Brenspeed tune = spot on!
Even with a couple of revisions from bama the brenspeed tune was smoother and had much better low end grunt with top end performance very similar. If you buy your parts from brenspeed they will update your tune for future mods.

AM is a great company and I have spent lots of money there but for tunes I go to brenspeed. Brenspeed not only got my m90 tune right the first time around they also wrote me a detuned version to slow me down for my 12.90 bracket at my track at no charge. Won first place the first time I ran it.

For your application OP I think you will be happy with either one.
