My Bullitt's been cross country 2 times and has just a few minor chips. Drive it but don't follow dump trucks, or any trucks for that matter, too closely.

As most have said drive it, if you are really worried, you can get 3M paint defender spray film at Autozone, almost forgot it is removable.

Well that's a pretty unanimous vote. Not too long after posting this, I think we both came to our senses and realized the fun we'd be passing up by having it shipped back. I may tape up some hot spot areas for her unless I can buy some of the 3m defender spray in Houston. (I noticed ArmorAll has a knock-off in auto parts stores). Pretty amped for the boss lady to be picking up a GT/CS to go alongside mine. She already has quite the list of mods planned.

Big05552000, you're on the clock now.

quite the list of mods planned eh? Careful or she'll have "crimson" cornered soon...lol...I'd say drive it too...The life long fun memories will be worth it alone...Shipping from Houston to AL is roughly $1K, FYI...Since I'm in TX I'll check to see if my local shop has any 3m defender spray...is that like platsi-dip that'll come right off when you want it to? Never heard of it...2 GT/CSs...I wish I was your insurance agent when y'all start racing each other, lol! Gonna be like the old Jordan/Bird commercials...Off the wall, down the hall, nothing but net...reverse to 40, 360 sliding into a s curve, with one hand, and only two allowable shifts...

It would likely cost under $1k to get the bumper repainted anyway. Not that I'm advocating you drive it...I'd hate to be in ANY car for that long. I just don't like road trips

I've been using a Colgan Bra on my Mach1 since new. I've driven all over the West on 2,400+ mile trips.

A clear spray or painters tape is better than nothing, but if you really want the front of your car protected, you need something thicker. Gravel, a swarm of what looked like biblical locusts on I5 in California and even a bird hit at 100MPH didn't get to my paint.

Yes, you have to put it on and take it off. Yes, you have to put it on a clean surface, but that's what spray detailer and microfiber towels are for. Yes, you have to keep the bra clean, but that's what hotel bath tubs are for.

I found this video on Colgan's site. It shows a 2010 Mustang bra:
