Default Top leaking?

I've never seen the top leak on my convertible before, but this morning when I looked on the shelf behind the rear seat, there was water puddled back there. We had really bad, intense rains yesterday that caused flooding in the area and I am wondering if this might be a one time thing or should I look deeper into this?

Where would you think it would be leaking for it to pool there?

Any advice would be great...

I am assuming the top is in good condition, and the rear window is still properly sealed. Check the drain tubes for the top. You have one on each side under the rear area near the tires. If you park it outside a lot under trees, it is possible those drains are plugged up with trash or they might be partially plugged since you said it rained a lot.

Good luck!

I'm guessing the glass is separating from the vinyl as my sisters did the same thing. Had to get a new top, little over $1600 installed.

Ford warranty refused to cover it even though it is obviously a defect in the top and not at all uncommon on Mustang convertibles. The dealer had the car for a week and couldn't find where it was leaking from. Sis ran her fingernail around the edge of the window and noticed it separating.

At least the replacement top has a 5 year warranty against defects.
