I understand. However, I am almost certain that the ethanol blenders' tax credits have expired.

For the people complaining that the list is out of date, updating the list is pretty easy to do.

I am new to this forum enjoy reading all the great topics this one I have a problem with.

1. When a person owns a Mustang should he/she care about gas millage?
2. I run E85 in a 615RWHP/615RWTQ Ford Mustang Bullitt and love my performance
3. http://dbperformancetuning.com/cat/p...ID=25&CDpath=8
4. I went on a 250 Mile trip to a car show and paid 2.89 per gallon for E85 I got between 12-15MPG. 87 Octane were I live is 3.79 per gallon, 92 Octane is 4.00+ right now.

In the end you save some $$$$ but I do not own this car to save money I just eat out a few less times a week and make up the diffrence in cost. Anyway my wife owns a toyota prius that is my gas milage car.

Been running it for 3 years with no problems and love it. It is new and not for everyone I realize that. Paying 2.89 for 110 octane feels pretty good. Check the link I posted it explains the use of E85 better than I can.

If your running a 93 tune would it be better to run pure gas in the car ?

That is most wise. Using gas with more than 10% ethanol voids the warranty on most lawn equipment.

I only have problems with ethanol when it was converted from food. In my mind, there is something inherently unethical about using food as fuel for the tank. I hope that cellulosic ethanol and diesel from algae, I have some IP in this area, one day becomes commonplace fuel substitutes. However, I have a problem with the fact that the price of corn has shot up in an unsustainable manner.

You should only be concerned if you are unsure of the quality of the fuel you are putting in and how long it has been stored. Ethanol enriched fuel absorbs water. Your "93 octane" fuel may no longer be 93 octane.

Gas mileage increase is just a bonus with straight gasoline. For me, the problem I have with ethanol in my gas is it attracts water and makes the car run like crap. You can really see the difference in a motorcycle, since it has a smaller thank and higher compression. The ethanol manufacturers are being paid by the government to make the stuff, we are paying for the crap twice!@@#$@#$

It also takes a **** ton of water to produce ethanol, many times more than gasoline. In the end we will all be killing each other over fresh water.
