Unhappy Good News/ Bad News

The good news is, after 2 weeks of not-so-patiently waiting, I picked up my 05 GT yesterday, and drove it home to Idaho from Arizona. It was a long trip, but worth every minute.

The bad news is that, while on this drive home, a large jackrabbit decided he had nothing left to live for, and ran out in front of my flawless GT. At 75mph. Suffice it to say, the lower-grill on my GT exploded, and my bumper has a break in the fascia, just below the lower-grill insert.

There was cursing. A lot of it. And, there may have been tears. I can neither confirm, nor deny......

I hate when that happens, a possum ran in front of mine one time. But look at the bright side of things. Now you can get a new bumper, maybe a GT/CS maybe do a gt500 conversion, a roush bumper, takeoffparts.com has some deals on stock ones

That may be in the cards, down the line. After dropping $15k for my new Mistress, Wifey isn't going to let me buy ANYTHING until she get's spoiled a little.

After looking at the bumper in daylight, there is just a crack. Once I replace the lower-grille insert, you won't even see it. Whew!!

Just over 50k. My dad bought it new, and seldom drove it. He made me a great deal, and I couldn't pass it up.
