For me, it all depends on where I am, who's around me and how fast I'm able/want to go. My Shifting during normal driving is usually around 2500 - 3000rpm's and then spirited driving red-line is about 6500 rpm's
Have fun !!

5 speed here and shifting at 2k for normal driving so not to appear as a douche to those around me. It's all too easy with these gears for other drivers to think you're trying to race. Of course it's also fun to ride them out longer in between shifts when there's a WRX/Evo/Turbo Neon around you to remind them your V8 sounds better then their farting.

You still shift at the same RPM's if you change gears.
You will just get to those RPM's faster.

You should gave got a tune revision with your gears to make sure your MPH are correct etc. also.

As Ricardo said... 2k RPM is a good change point for everyday driving if you wanna keep the MPG good and noise down.

I shift at 6200 RPM as HP begins to drop off around there and TQ goes off the cliff around 5500 RPM with my car's current mods. But that's just for my car, yours might be a little different. If you can go get it dynoed so you can see where your car stops making power and where it makes the most.
