I agree with POWERMAN. I would wrap it like he suggested after taking the console apart; it's the best solution and it gives you the chance to add a custom touch if you want. I would suggest carbon fiber or matt black. I don't know how much a center console for your year is but on the 05-09 you can get them for like 200 bucks.

The way I see it you have three options:

1) Get an OEM replacement panel - pricey
2) Remove the panel yourself, sand and have it repainted /clearcoated
3) Have that portion vinyl wrapped with a color that goes well with your interior (probably the cheapest in terms of time and money..)->

OEM replacement is very pricy $500+ the vinyl wrap you mention would work.
Is it very difficult to install? Is the picture that of your vehicle? Did you install it yourself and how difficult is it to remove that section of console? Really appreciate your help.

OEM is $500+ seems what POWERMAN suggested would be best my best/less expensive option.

$500+ is for the entire center column, you only need the top piece/panel, correct (Can't see the pics here at work)??

One on ebay for $213 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OEM-CENTER-CONSOLE-PANEL-2013-FORD-MUSTANG-/360575351674?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53f3f73b7a&vxp=mtr#ht_2428wt_1399
Part number for just the top piece/panel is:

DR3Z-6304567-FA

Shop around, you might find it cheaper than on eBay, a quick google search on that part comes up with several around around $215 average...

GOOD LUCK!!

Hi p0ny,

No I have not done this, but a bunch of others over at the Charger forum have done so..

This video from youtube may help give you an idea of what's involved..

Thank you all so much for your help! I am still working with the service manager to see what he can come up with. He may get me in touch with a good air brush person. The vinyl is certainly an option. Will keep you posted.
