Nice car OP, and let me say that from someone as young as you, it is refreshing to see a little bit of fiscal responsibility. It is your ride and if you love it, it doesn't matter if there is a V6 or V8 under the hood.

Enjoy the ride!

You did good. I personally would never buy a used V8 Mustang. A used Prius? Maybe. Used Mustang V8, hell no.

I just traded my '08 gt premium with 29,000 miles, in mint condition. Bought it new and it didn't have a scratch. The dealer put $17,200 actual cash into it, plus $2,000 rebate and a $3,800 discount on a 2014 gt premium. I miss my old car, but I really like the new one. They sold it the day after I traded it in.
I was afraid of what the 2015 models would look like. I wanted one more s197, while I could still get one. I may have made a mistake, time will tell.

Hey guys, why don't we all just take a chill and welcome the new member to the family? He's excited and he's getting exactly what he wants. A really cool 'stang and a balanced budget which I applaud him for.

Zatch - if you're ever over in Aurora by Tower and Hampden area or by NREL, look me up and we'll go for a cruise.

Sounds like a plan! I infrequently visit some offices right of the interstate on Iliff for work so if I ever plan to be around there in the future I'll hit it up!

I have only made 2 big trips with my car and both were driven using the 93 Performance Tune from Bama

Both trips were to the same place and I was doing 120km/h (75mph)

Trip 1: Distance driven 580km (391miles) /w 50km remaining till empty averaging 9.5L/100km (29mpg)
**Made multiple pit stops because I refused to let my friend smoke in my car

Trip 2: Distance driven 580km (391miles) /w 85km remaining till empty averaging 9.0L/100km (31mpg)
**No pit stops as I told my smoking buddy to ride with our other friend who smokes

So to answer your question does my GT get 35mpg on the highway? Answer is nope but I get 30mpg
and for it being a V8 not a V6 not to mention the power difference 4-5mpg is meaningless... well to me anyways

If someone feels MPG>Power when choosing a car then all the power too them, everyone has their preference. Mine is Power>MPG but either way they still getting into a S197 Mustang and even the V6 are still fun to drive & mod.
