checked outa 05 vert today

I have a 2005 V6 and experienced several issues over the years. Before you purchase, be sure to check the following:
1. Thermostat housing leak (if 4.0 V6 model) It's made out of plastic! I had to replace mine recently.
2. Verify all cluster gauges work. The stepper motors are known to go out! My RPM gauge is off by 150-250 RPM. Car should ide around 750 RPM. My thermostat gauge only works if it is 60 degrees or higher. My gas gauge is sometimes off by 1/4 tank, however low fuel sensor light still comes on.
3. Check emergency brake. A few years back, during a cold front, the e-brake froze and doesn't work that great ever since then.
4. Clutch replaced out at 65k miles. Slave cylinder/throw out bearing went bad. I had a 2" dead spot at the top of clutch pedal and I could hardly shift into any gear, I had to jam it!
**Make sure the convertible is fixed, before purchasing! That could be a costly fix!
Good luck!
