18" AFS Bullitts fit Brembos! Pics Inside
I seem to have found the only 18" Bullitt style wheels that clear Brembos without a spacer.
I found some 2012 take-off Brembos on a another forum's classifieds. I was able to get a great deal on them, so I decided to take a gamble and see if they would fit these wheels. Everything I've seen about assorted bullitt style wheels says Brembos won't fit. Even the wheel manufacturer's website says this wheel won't fit the GT500.
Apparently they didn't test fit it.
They are made by AFS. I bought them on eBay in 2009. Not even sure if you can get them anymore, but if you want bullitts and Brembos, be on the lookout!
They are 18 x 9 up front. The only reason they fit is because they have no lip up front. There's actually a decent amount of space between the caliper and wheel spoke.
Oh also the Brembos are pretty sick. I basically only bought them for appearance, but they do inspire a lot more confidence in high speed braking. Braking on off-ramps is effortless. I have yet to put the Brembo pads on the rear, so I believe the brake bias is off a little. This is causing the front wheels to want to lock/activate ABS too early. I hope replacing the worn out stock rear pads will do the trick.
I am likely going to paint them red to match my interior, but I'll rock the all black look for a while. The CF hydro-dipped finish from the previous owner is bubbling off, so they'll have to be repainted anyway. I have black lug nuts on the way, and I'm going to have to do something with these fake snake center caps.
Thanks for looking.

Good to hear that the wheels worked out for you.
When you do get around to painting them, you can get new Brembo brake decals here at this link. You can get them in a few different colors too. I went with silver, when I painted mine blue.

Holy crap. I wish I had known this earlier. I searched so hard for Bullitt-style 18" rims that cleared Brembos, but apparently not hard enough. Your car looks INCREDIBLE, and the Brembos just bring everything together. Awesome find!
Edit: Dude, please don't paint the Brembos red. I also have a red interior so I know where you're coming from, but they look SO GOOD with those wheels I wouldn't change a thing. It's all up to what you want, but seriously, car looks AMAZING.
