Talking From 4.6 to 5.0

Whats up guys, i recently made the jump from the 4.6 to the 5.0 and man, let me tell ya. LOL I'm loving what ford has done to these motors. Great car absolutley love it. Well one thing that has got to be taken care of is I'm used to my stangs sounding mean, my 5.0 has no exhaust tone what so ever which is understood because its stock. One guy told me to take off the resonators and that will help alittle....can anyone give me any info on that? Two, i traded in my 2010 premium..which had glass roof and shaker 1000 system..for the base 5.0....no SYNC, no ipod port, no my color, no bass lol. I was wondering how much money would it take for me to get my car stereo system to sound like my old car which was perfect for me. I heard you can buy the interior lighting kit has anyone bought it and has a price? Thanks guys...heres pics..

Just go to crutchfields website and build a system. Start with a head unit and some speakers. That alone would be a huge upgrade over the basic stock system. Love the color of the fiveOh.

Congrats on your new car!

If you are a DIY'er, then go to crutchfield. Otherwise, I would go to a local stereo shop with a good reputation. Here's a link to the interior lighting kit: http://accessories.ford.com/kit-addi...ctr-parts.html

Good luck!

I just took off the mufflers, leave the resonators. You can either have new tips put on or save sosome miney and have the tips cut off the mufflers and thet can put those on. My shop charged me $60, normally $80 but I do a lot of work with them.I love the sound. Not very noticeable when driving normally but loud at WOT.

If your looking for mean exhaust sound Stainless Works Retro Cat Back's are they way to go. A bit more expensive than a pypes bomb those just sound raspy anywise. But Stainless Works Cat Back is pure muscle car sex to the ears literally I mean it. Get's even better if you do their whole system with their longtube headers and mid pipe.

Have not done the mid or headers on mine yet so here is what it sounds like with just their cat back system. Little bit or drone if you sit on 2k rpm's but they say that goes away with their full system installed.
