Surely you jest. I wear size 13 shoes and "heel & toe" is easy.
Although "heel & toe" is a misnomer. It's more like ball of foot on brake, then roll side of foot on gas, so maybe "ball & roll". Meh, heel & toe sounds better. It sure beats compression braking.
Practice makes perfect.

Mine don't look anything like this. My blip ends up being more like what the f my foot catches on the carpet or tranny tunnel.

Double Clutching is for Semi's or old non-syncro transmissions.

Syncro gears look like a twisty cone, at any point on two gears one point on both ridges will line-up and sync the gears together, i.e. no grinding.

Non-syncro gears are straight, no twist, they are therefore stronger but must be Double Clutched or you get grinding.

Foot off fuel peddle - clutch in - shifter out of gear - clutch out - clutch in - shifter in gear - clutch out - fuel on. All this is done in a half second and is up-shifting with down shifting you'll have to add a small rev of the engine to align the speed of the vehicle, rpm of the engine and rpm of the driveshaft. Usually this is done with 10 gears and the speed, up and downhill acceleration effect it. It's complex and that's why Synchronized Gears were invented.

The race version with syncro gears (modern trans) looks like progressive shifting where you really don't let up on the gas peddle to much and only depress the clutch enough to slip in and out of gear. This keeps constant forward motion and keeps the rpms from dropping to low during long slow shifts. Notice also how he let-up ever so slightly and quickly on the gas peddle.

Your going 120mph and you shift from 4th at 5600 to 5th slow enough to drop to 3500 then get into 5th at 125mph at 3500. I think I did this at 60mph going from 4th to 5th but I hit 3rd. New car 6 speed, I've been a 5 speed drive for life now this.

This is why we will spend almost $500 bucks on a good short throw.
Race car drivers who double clutched also wore leather helmets and goggles.

OP, I try to heel toe around curvy roads, but I don't get many chances around town.

This is speed shifting a 10 speed Semi for only one 1-10 speed up-shifting, 0-60 in 1 min. You've got to wait for it!
I'm going to race this 2013, 5.0, six speed soon and I'll have to forget all that 5 speed poop. And don't worry about
hitting 3rd instead of 5th, I plan to top-out at 4th with 3.73 gears. I believe that is the reason for gear selection.
One less shift is faster.

That's why I can't understand why peeps keep recommending 4.10's? You'll be in 6th before you top-out at the trap?

I know, I have to figure-out which settings are right, this is the Hero Pro3 Black Wifi remote camera with a 64 Gig mini SD card!!! My first computer hard drive was only 200 megs! It has different focus angles and I've got a mount for my car also.

I do it to save the clutch. I have an improper balance when it comes to braking and gasing tho.. I worry I'll go into the person in front of me. I usually do it when I'm just downshifting without brakes
