Default 08 Sherrod sequential tail light problem

A frind of mine has a problem with the drivers side tail light , when you turn on the left signal only one bulb lights up . Ive switched the bulbs around but the only socket that works is the one on the right (the two on the left dont light up). The passenger side works fine, sequential left to right. I think the car came from Sherrod with the sequentials so I don't know what brand they may have used. Thanks for any suggestions.

Since that car did not come with sequential tails, there are several sequential tail light brands on the market, you will most likely have to go back to Sherrod and ask where they get them from.

You might find a brand on the wiring but I doubt it.

It could be a wiring issue or the controller issue.

That Exact same thing happened to my sequentials last week. I unplugged the sequential module and plugged them back the way they were originally and they worked as they did before. This told me that the module had gone bad. As they were only 8 months old, I called American Muscle, where they verified that I had just bought them in December of last year and immediately sent me a new set. They even shipped them overnight so I wouldn't have to wait to drive my car. I installed the new module and they work fine now. Nothing but praise for American Muscle!!!

Before you do anything else, use some contact cleaner on the harness plug/connector. Disconnect, spray both, plug and unplug a few times quickly and repeat.

I had an issue with dirty contacts on the connector.

I've seen this happen a few times in the past. Definitely try to clean the contacts of the harness first with cleaner from your local auto parts store. Did you get a chance to do this yet? Any luck?

I haven't had a chance to go back and check it out yet . The car belongs to a friend of mine , her husband passed away and she asked me to help her sell the car. I wanted to try and get the lights working before I put it up for sale. I guess I can try to trace the wires to find where the module is. Thanks for the suggestions.

Good luck! If you can't seem to fix the sequential module or get a replacement from where the car was bought, let me know. I'd be happy to hook your friend up with a killer deal on a new set of sequential harnesses.

Just shoot me a PM!
