Who bought theirs new and still own it?

Had mine built to order and took delivery in March of 2008 with 5 miles on the odometer.
For the next four years and change it was a true daily driver, except for days with more than an inch or two of snow on the roads. Thanks to a very short commute during that time, there are only about 31500 miles on it now.
Mods are mainly confined to the suspension, which is "lightly modded" at this point. The car rides on FRPP/GT500 wheels and 255/45-18 tires for most of the year, OE stuff in the winter when the summer tires have lost their grip. It really needs wider wheels and tires for the occasional autocross or track day, and plans are already afoot to remedy that. Like any project car*** it probably won't ever be quite "finished", and I've proceeded slowly enough that I don't expect to be re-doing much along the way as long as "street" remains part of its duty.
It'll be mine for a long time. Somehow, we've managed to consistently choose cars that we stay happy with (see sig for hint), as the cars we've eventually parted with we'd kept for an average of a bit over 17 years and something like 175,000 miles.
***Yes, I had every intention of modding it, even before going to the dealership the first time. Same as for the Pinto we bought in 1971 and the Chevy Malibu in 1979.

Bought mine in Jan 2006 and have about 89K miles right now. Mods? Well...chrome bullits, Steeda intake/tune/radiator cover, Hurst shifter, JBA Axleback, B429 Hood with pins, GT500 rear spoiler, CDC Aggressive chin spoiler, aluminum rear window louvers, Agent 47 side view mirrors, clear front turn signals, Eibach Pro springs, BMR strut tower brace, carbon fiber dash kit, leather replacement kit, engine dress up kit, shorty atenna, billet seat controls, and chrome prop rod. Love the car. Seems odd to say since I've replaced half of it.

According to Carfax, I'm the third owner.. First owner bought her in May 05 and held on to her until 2008 with 10k on it.. Second owner put on 14k in one year.. Found on Craigslist... bought her to drive in 09.. She's at 115k now...
Driven like a pissed off teenager... Drag races... Autocross... Road coarses... See's redline's daily.. She loves it all.. Only non-routine maint item is pinion seal in the rear diff.. other than that, gas, tires, oil... did do plugs and struts at 100k... routine maint...
Most reliable car I've ever owned!

Thanks for all your contributions. Good to hear from so many of you fellow Stangers.
Just a quickie update. I changed the oil to kick off the new year and last week it just rolled into the 75,000 mark.
Topped of the tank a week ago with non-ethanol gasoline and it averaged 26.5 MPG.
Other than that, my Stang is still running strong!
